1. Who we are and acceptance of these Terms

3Social (“3Social,” “we,” “us,” or the “platform”) is the creator-social platform available at 3social.io and www.3social.io. At the time of this update, 3Social is operated as an independent project. By accessing or using 3Social, connecting a wallet, publishing content, depositing funds, or using MintScale-powered features, you agree to these Terms.

2. What 3Social is

3Social is a social platform for publishing, discovery, messaging, live experiences, creator monetization, and content provenance. MintScale is 3Social’s metering and settlement system. Supported interactions can carry creator-defined prices, and supported content can preserve attribution relationships to upstream creators when it is remixed or built upon.

Production settlement currently uses native USDC on Base. Features, supported interactions, networks, assets, rates, limits, and availability can change as the platform develops. The price, preview, cap, and settlement information shown in the product at the time of an interaction controls over examples or defaults described in these Terms.

3. Wallet access and account security

3Social uses wallet-based authentication, including Sign-In With Ethereum (SIWE) for supported EVM wallets. A wallet address can be associated with a 3Social username, profile, content, social activity, pricing settings, payout settings, and settlement history.

You are responsible for your wallet, device, private keys, seed phrase, signatures, and any action authorized by a wallet you control. 3Social does not need your private key or seed phrase and will never ask you to provide either one. Blockchain transactions and signatures can be irreversible, and loss or compromise of your wallet may result in loss of access or funds.

4. MintScale pricing, deposits, charges, and settlement

• Creator-controlled pricing. Creators can configure supported interaction prices, including rates for likes, comments, shares/reposts, follows, bookmarks, remixes, time-based viewing, and streaming, as well as free-preview settings and per-session caps. Content-specific pricing can override a creator default, which can override the platform default.
• USDC escrow on Base. To use paid interactions, a user may deposit USDC into the MintScale escrow smart contract. Deposited but unused escrow balance remains associated with the depositing wallet and can be withdrawn through the contract, subject to blockchain conditions and network fees.
• Metered charges. When you initiate or continue a priced interaction, 3Social can create charge records under the pricing policy displayed or otherwise applicable to that interaction. Authorized settlement infrastructure may debit the corresponding amount from your on-chain escrow balance. You authorize those charges by using the paid interaction after the applicable price/preview information is presented in the product.
• Policy snapshots. A metering session records the applicable pricing-policy version so later creator pricing changes do not retroactively change an already-created charge.
• Default platform split. The current default is 85% of a standard charge to the creator side and 15% to 3Social. A creator’s displayed revenue split may differ if a different approved policy applies. The smart-contract and settlement records are authoritative for completed on-chain allocations.
• Remixes and upstream attribution. When supported derivative content is linked to upstream content, part of the creator-side amount may be allocated to one or more upstream creators according to the recorded derivative policy. Multi-hop attribution can distribute a charge across more than one upstream creator. The applicable percentages can vary by policy.
• Cosigned comments. When an original post creator cosigns a qualifying comment, future supported economics attached to that cosigned comment may split the creator-side share between the original post creator and the comment author. The current default is 70%/30% of the creator-side share (59.5% and 25.5% of the total charge when the platform share is 15%).
• Payout wallets. Creator payouts may require a payout address that has been verified by wallet signature. Amounts can remain pending or payout-blocked until required payout information is valid and verified.
• Finality. Confirmed on-chain charges, withdrawals, and distributions generally cannot be reversed by 3Social. Unused escrow funds are different from completed charges: unused balance can be withdrawn through the smart contract, while a completed charge is not a discretionary refundable purchase.
• You are responsible for network fees charged by your wallet or blockchain for transactions you initiate, and for taxes arising from amounts you pay, receive, or withdraw. 3Social does not provide tax advice.

5. Content ownership, provenance, and licenses

You retain ownership of content you create and post. You give 3Social a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, format, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and promote the platform and to provide features you request. This license ends when the content is no longer needed to operate the service, except for retained backups, legal records, provenance records, and immutable blockchain records.

3Social can compute cryptographic hashes of content and register provenance information on a public blockchain. A hash, ledger identifier, timestamp, or derivative relationship is evidence generated by the platform; it is not a copyright registration or a guarantee of legal ownership. You are responsible for having the rights needed to upload, publish, remix, quote, monetize, or otherwise use content.

Private/archive status hides eligible content from public discovery surfaces but does not necessarily stop existing economics or provenance relationships. Deleting/revoking a post hides it from public surfaces while preserving required provenance, audit, and settlement records. Under the current product rules, a deleted/revoked upstream post forfeits future upstream royalties from downstream remixes; past completed settlements remain unchanged.

6. Social features, messaging, and live content

3Social may provide feeds, profiles, follows, comments, mentions, notifications, direct messages, forums, discovery/search, live rooms, repost/remix features, and support conversations. You are responsible for content and communications you send. Do not assume a direct message or private surface is appropriate for secrets, private keys, financial credentials, or highly sensitive information.

7. Profile visibility, followers, blocking, and groups

3Social may offer controls that let you choose who can see your profile and content. These are application-level controls within 3Social and operate together with the public nature of blockchain records described in our Privacy Policy.

• Public and private profiles. A public profile and its public posts are visible to others and may be reached by search engines or other internet users. A private profile is visible only to you and to followers you have approved. Making a profile private does not rewrite or delete your existing posts; instead, 3Social restricts who can see them at the time each request is made. A post you have set to private/unpublished remains owner-only regardless of your profile setting.
• Follow requests. When your profile is private, a request to follow you stays pending until you approve it, and only approved followers gain access. Declining, cancelling, or removing a follower ends that access. Changing your profile back to public does not automatically approve pending requests.
• Blocking. Blocking another user hides each user’s profile and content from the other and overrides any existing follow relationship or group membership between them.
• Groups. 3Social may offer public and private groups. Group creators and their designated admins and moderators can set a group’s visibility and join policy (for example, open, request-to-join, or invite-only), review and approve members, assign roles, remove or ban members, moderate group posts, and transfer ownership. Private-group content is limited to active members; leaving, being removed, or being banned ends access to that content immediately. Group membership, roles, and moderation actions are recorded so groups can be operated and moderated. Group features currently carry no separate membership pricing or revenue split; standard content economics still apply to posts.
• Administrator access. As described in our Privacy Policy, authorized administrators may access content — including content in a private profile or private group — where reasonably necessary for support, safety, moderation, fraud/abuse investigation, security, or legal compliance.

8. Acceptable use and anti-abuse rules

You may not use 3Social to break the law; infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights; harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, defraud, or deceive others; distribute malware; attempt unauthorized access; evade security controls; artificially farm engagement; manipulate rankings, metering, attribution, payouts, reports, or settlement systems; create deceptive transaction activity; or interfere with platform operation.

Automated or coordinated behavior that appears designed to generate artificial engagement or payments may be rate-limited, flagged, denied settlement, investigated, or otherwise restricted.

9. Moderation and enforcement

Users can report content and accounts. Administrators may review reports and platform risk data, hide or remove content, restrict features, ban accounts, block payouts while required information is unresolved, preserve evidence, or take other reasonable measures to protect users, the platform, or the integrity of MintScale. Enforcement does not alter transactions that are already final on a public blockchain unless the applicable smart contract itself permits an action.

10. No investment, custody, banking, or earnings guarantee

3Social is a social and creator-monetization platform, not an investment adviser, broker, bank, insured depository institution, or securities exchange. A 3Social escrow balance is not a bank deposit, is not FDIC insured, and does not earn interest unless the product expressly states otherwise. USDC and blockchain infrastructure involve smart-contract, network, stablecoin, liquidity, and operational risks. We do not guarantee creator earnings, audience growth, token value, uninterrupted settlement, or availability of any blockchain or third-party service.

11. Third-party services and blockchain systems

3Social relies on public blockchains and third-party infrastructure such as wallet software, RPC/node providers, hosting, object storage, databases, and other service providers. Their terms, outages, changes, fees, or failures may affect 3Social. We do not control public blockchains or third-party wallets and cannot guarantee reversal, recovery, or availability of their services.

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

3Social is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, 3Social and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost opportunity, wallet compromise, blockchain failure, smart-contract failure, or third-party service failure arising from your use of the platform.

13. Changes and product evolution

3Social is actively developed. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features, prices, supported assets/networks, limits, or policies. We may update these Terms when the service changes or for legal, security, or operational reasons. Material revisions will be reflected by the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, additional notice in the product.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
